A queue of builders.

We're all breathing a sigh of relief as we're coming very close to the end of the construction of the new development on The Town Hall, Hebden Bridge.  A £1.25 million grant from ERDF combined with a £750,00 grant and a £1.25 million loan from Community Builders have allowed the Hebden Bridge Community Association to build 3 dynamic spaces for the community, 30 business units, and an area for the community to liase with important bodies such as Calderdale's Customer First. Strategic Team Group are our main contractor from Castleford and have supplied skilled stone masons, joiners and labourers, as well as keeping a watchful eye over many sub contractors for the past 17 months:

  • Charlestown from Bradford for our electrical work
  • Kimptons from Bradford for our mechanical work
  • KONE from Keighley supplied and installed the lift
  • the stonework was carried out by five local stonework companies
  • Beeley Fabrications from Sheffield made our ballustrading and solar shading
  • Swift Joinery from Leeds crafted and installed the oak doors
  • GPS and Paul Smith Plasterers in Leeds were the plasterers

To say thank you for all the hard work, we asked Organic House Riverside to help feed and water the contractors, and they did us proud.
